Elks Gun Show Draws Record Crowd

The Chillicothe Elks sixth annual Gun and Knife Show brought in almost 1,200 attendees last Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a 50 percent increase over last year's crowd and easily a new attendance record for this event.

This year's Gun and Knife show was held concurrently with the first-ever North Missouri Outdoor Classic, which also drew a large crowd, with possibly many persons taking advantage of the opportunity to attend both events in one trip.

The exhibit space was sold out again this year, with 70 plus tables occupied by 28 vendors who displayed a wide assortment of guns and knives both old and new, plus turkey, duck and goose calls and many other items of outdoor equipment and collectibles. Items were available for viewing and handling, and vendors were ready to buy, sell or trade, with some items changing hands more than once during the three day show.
